FESTIVAL MESSAGE
Welcome to the Dardanup Bull and Barrel Festival and we hope you and your family and friends have a wonderful day experiencing our country hospitality.
The Festival is organised by a Committee of 25 volunteers who spend all year working on staging a Festival that showcases the talents of our local schoolchildren, musicians, dancers and artists, provides a fundraising opportunity for our community groups and showcases local agriculture, industry, businesses and tourism. More importantly it is a day when our community comes together and celebrates the wonderful place in which we live and on that day we enjoy sharing Dardanup with you.
As the Festival is free to enter its hard to estimate attendance but we reckon its close to 20,000 people attend during the day and night. Most of our visitors come from Bunbury, Australind, Dalyellup as well as the Shire of Dardanup with increasing numbers attending from Perth. Most visitors come for the fun and enjoyment, 70% are repeat visitors with 30% attending for the 1st time and most of these saying they would return the following year.
How do we know this? Well 200 randomly selected visitors answered these questions in the last Festival survey.
